Season's Greetings - Sweet Deer Card

T'is the season.  I have an inset easel today.

The hardest part was creating the card base without a template.  Lots of trial and error (guess I'll be buying a die for this...)

I have used Carta Bella papers and CTMH chipboard pieces, along with craft paper, pop-dots, and some gems.  For more on technique  or products feel free to P.M. me.

See previous post for additional card.

God bless and happy holiday crafting!

Reveres Easel Card- Seasons Greetings

I call it "reverse" because most easel cards I see have the center  forward, but on this card I  have the center in-set.

I think the little poinsettia looks like a star

Once I figured out how to cut the card base (trial and error without a template), the rest of the card came together easily with the beautiful Carta Bella Papers and  Sizzix die - Winter Wishes Collection - Christmas

Precious Moments Ice Cream Easel Card

Todays card uses a sweet little Precious Moments clip art image.

I have used three different die sets on this all cut with my little Cuttlebug  and magnetic mat.

( If you don't have a magnetic mat yet, I highly recommend it.  The Cricut magnetic mat works much better then Genius by We R Memory Keepers one I tried first - cheaper too)

The first die gives it its easel shape (witch is perfect for the challenge over at Glitter and Sparkle).  I love the stitching on these dies from Little Darlings.

Next I used the little lacy circle for the  "sun" or word frame.
I also used a phrase die the "Hi"

One of the challenges  I am entering over at Simon Says Stamp  gave us a mood board with some color and photo inspiration.  I chose my colors based on that challenge along with the teal wood patterned paper inspired by the photos.

I was going to enter is an ice cream challenge  - hence this adorable little precious moments image of  two sharing a cup of the sweet stuff.  This image is clip art obtained form pinterest.

Fancy Squares and Little Things by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps  (for frames and buttons)

Mermaid Shadow Box Easel Card

It is a hot one here in south Texas on this glorious 4th of July Weekend.  How about a refreshing deep waters card to cool things down a bit....

This beautiful, shimmering, 3D, birthday card was made using Dimensional Scenes - Mermaid Tales
I made it a easel card, added a gift card holder

This is of moderate difficulty using Cricut Design Space.

I welded wording on to the frame and added and extra shell from Life's A Beach

Papers are laid out in "sync" order of cutting line-up
For me, one of the most tedious parts is choosing all the papers.  This project has eleven (11) different papers - most have a shimmering nature.

Blogs I am sharing on:
  1. Die Cutting Divas (Birthday Challenge #272)
  2. Cut it up (3D challenge #99) (be sure to check in next week for their  #100 and blog candy)
  3. The Diva's that cut ...paper (Make it Glitter challenge)

Supply List:
  • Cricut Explore Air
  • Cricut Design Space (access)
    • Dimensional Scenes - Mermaid Tales (free with Cricut access)
  • Papers: All Over Water print (NRN Designs), foiled wave, Glitzy Pastels, Pear paper, Cardstock
  • Paper glaze (I used liquid glass from CTMH)
  • Glue / tape runner
  • Metallic sticker dots, brads, or bling
  • Cuttlebug / die cut machine
  • Happy Birthday die cut (I used Spellbinders Phrase Set one)
  • Pop dots
Please feel free to PM if you have any questions and I will be more than happy to give you any info I can.

Thanks for looking, God bless and happy scrappin'
